Is an extra digit or limb growing in the place designated for washing during ablution obligatory to wash?
Chapter on the Obligation of Purification
Al-Mughni
Book of Purification
Primary text
If an extra finger or extra hand grows in the location designated for washing (in Wudu or Ghusl), washing it along with the original limb is obligatory because it is considered rooted there, resembling a wart. This ruling is supported by the view of Ibn Hamid and Ibn Aqil.
Supporting text
The view of Al-Qadi states that if any part of the extra limb aligns with the required washing area, only the portion aligning with that area must be washed. However, the first opinion is considered stronger.
