Primary text

There is no known dispute among scholars regarding the permissibility of prayer in clothing woven by non-believers, as the garments worn by the Prophet (PBUH) and his Companions were of their weaving.

Supporting text

Regarding garments they wear, Al-Thawri and the proponents of the Hanafi school permitted prayer in them. Malik, however, stated that if one wears a disbeliever's garment, one must repeat the prayer if the time remains. Our evidence is that the default is purity, and there is no preponderant probability of impurity in the woven fabric, making it similar to what the disbelievers wove.
