Is it permissible to shake water off the body with one's hands after ritual purification?

It is not disliked to shake water off the body with one's hands following the narration of Maymunah. This is supported by the principle that a voluntary act of purification requires the removal of the state of ritual impurity just like an obligatory act. Once the ritual impurity is removed, the precondition for prayer is established, thus permitting the obligatory act, and similarly for other acts requiring purity, such as touching the Mushaf or performing Tawaf.
