It is permissible to turn the pages of the Mus'haf using a stick or rod, and to write the text of the Mus'haf by hand without touching the scripture itself. Regarding turning pages with one's sleeve, there are two narrations.
Supporting text
A narration transmitted by Al-Qadi suggests that touching the covering or carrying it by its strap is impermissible, based on the ruling concerning touching it with a sleeve. However, the soundest view affirms permissibility since the prohibition only covers direct touching, and carrying or using a sleeve is not direct touching.
