Is it permissible to wipe over socks made of prohibited materials?
Chapter on Wiping over the Khuffayn (Leather Socks)

Primary text
Wiping over socks (*khuff*) made of materials that are prohibited (*muharram*), such as reeds (*qasab*) or silk (*harir*), is not permissible according to the sound opinion within the Madhhab. If a person wipes over such socks and performs prayer, they must repeat both their ablution and the prayer because wearing them constitutes an act of disobedience (*asi*), and thus, the concession (*rukhsah*) is not sanctioned by it. This is analogous to a traveler who undertakes a journey for the purpose of sin, as the concession for travel is not permitted for sinful travel.
