It is not permissible for a woman to wipe over a turban. This is because it constitutes imitating men (Tashabbuh bi al-Rijāl), rendering the garment forbidden for her. Although exceptional circumstances involving a valid excuse might exist, such instances are rare and do not form the basis of the established legal ruling.
