Primary text

If this pattern recurs for three months, the Qadi (judge) holds that in the fourth month, she sits for ten days, according to both narrations. This is because the extension beyond the usual habit is established through the repetition of the black blood.

Supporting text

A possible view is that she does not sit for more than her established habit according to the opinion prioritizing habit. This is because if the excess bleeding exceeding the habit is established as menses through repetition, then the deficiency below the habit should be established as Istihada through repetition, meaning she would only omit prayer for three days if she saw three days of black blood followed by red bleeding. This is contrary to the established ruling.
