Primary text

If one intends prescribed ritual purity to accompany an act where purity is not strictly required, such as intending to eat while being ritually pure, or intending to remain in a state of Wudu, the purification is valid. This is also the case if the intention was to clean the limbs of dirt or mud, provided the intent was for ritual purification itself.
