Primary text

If one intends an absolute Wudu or general purification, the more correct view is that the purification is valid. This is because the absolute terms for Wudu and purification default to the prescribed, legally established form, meaning the person intended a legislated Wudu.

The alternative view states that the purification is invalid in all these ambiguous cases because the person intended something permitted without required purity, similar to one intending to eat, and purity is divided into legislated and non-legislated forms, thus uncertainty invalidates it.
