What is the ruling if the outer leather sock is removed after performing Wudu' wiping?

If the outer sock is removed after the wiping has been performed, the purification (Wudu') is invalidated, and it becomes obligatory to remove the inner socks and wash the feet due to the nullification of the site of wiping.
