Primary text

If Tayammum is performed with two strikes, the first strike covers the face, and the second covers the hands up to the elbows. The procedure for the hands involves placing the inner fingers of the left hand over the back of the fingers of the right hand, passing them over the back of the hand until the wrist bone (al-kū'a). Then, the tips of the fingers grasp the edge of the forearm and pass over it up to the elbow. Next, the palm side of the hand is turned to the inner forearm and passed over it, lifting the thumb. Upon reaching the elbow, the thumb passes over the back of the thumb of the right hand. The right hand then performs the same action on the left hand. Finally, the palms are wiped against each other, interspacing the fingers. This manner of wiping up to the elbows is supported as valid.

Supporting text

It is permissible to wipe the designated areas of Tayammum with a single strike, three strikes, or more, because the essence is wiping the location of Tayammum with dust, which is permissible regardless of the number of strikes, similar to using two strikes.
