Primary text
Ablution becomes invalid if the turban (*imama*) is removed after wiping over it, a ruling explicitly stated by Ahmad. This ruling also applies if the head becomes uncovered, unless the uncovering is minor, such as scratching the head or lifting the head covering briefly for the purpose of performing ablution; in these minor cases, there is no issue. Ahmad stated that if the turban moves from the head, the ablution is not invalidated, provided the turban is not intentionally undone or the movement is not excessive, based on the custom where such incidental displacement is difficult to guard against.
