There are differing narrations from Ahmad regarding a Junub person or menstruating woman dipping their clean hand into a water vessel. In one narration, he permitted it if the hand was clean. In another, he became hesitant based on a report from Ibn Umar, expressing dislike if the entire hand was immersed, though permitting it if only a finger was dipped. Another opinion suggests that if a Junub person dips their leg, the water is spoiled because the person is impure, but the hand is excused due to necessity. Abu Yusuf stated that if a Junub person dips their hand, the water is not spoiled, but if they dip their leg, it is spoiled.
