Primary text

If a sick person fears that the prayer time will end before their assistant arrives with water, Ibn Abi Musa and Al-Hasan state that the person performs Tayammum (dry ablution) and does not need to repeat the prayer (I'adah) later. This is because they are considered deprived of water within the specified time, resembling one who is absolutely without water.

There is an alternative view suggesting the person should wait for the assistant to arrive, as they are present and expecting the water to be obtained shortly. This scenario is likened to someone busy drawing and securing the necessary water.
