What is the ruling on wiping over a sock worn over ablution that included wiping over a splint?
Chapter on Wiping over the Khuffayn (Leather Socks)

Book of Purification
Primary text
If a sock is worn over ablution that involved wiping over a splint, wiping over the sock is permissible because wiping over a splint is an absolute concession ('azimah). Furthermore, since the splint represented a defect that did not remove the prior state of purity (it was incomplete purity), this defect does not prevent the permissibility of wiping, similar to the case of a woman experiencing continuous minor impurity (mustahadah) whose impurity has not ceased.
