Primary text

If a splint is worn over ablution that involved wiping over a sock or turban, and the validity of wiping over the sock or turban did not require previous ablution purity, then wiping over the splint is permissible in all circumstances. If prior purity was a condition for wiping over the sock or turban, then there are two possibilities: either the ruling mirrors that of a turban worn over ablution followed by wiping over a sock, or wiping over the splint is permissible in all circumstances because wiping over the splint is considered an absolute concession ('azimah).
