Does separation by a period of clear discharge (nukaa') between the dark and red blood change the preceding ruling?

If the woman observes a period of clear discharge lasting a day or more between the dark blood and the red blood, the aforementioned ruling does not change. This is because the red blood is already ruled as istihada when connected to the dark blood, and this ruling holds even more strongly when the two are separated.
