Primary text
There is no distinction in ruling between impurities originating from a dog's saliva, its hand, foot, hair, or any other part. The ruling concerning every part of the animal is the same as the ruling concerning its other parts, based on established jurisprudence. The ruling regarding the pig is the same as the ruling concerning the dog because the explicit religious text (Nass) was given regarding the dog, and the pig is considered more severe and rigorous in its prohibition, as Allah explicitly forbade it, and Muslims have reached a consensus on its prohibition and forbidding its possession.
