Wiping over a splint is not restricted by a specific time limit, such as one day and one night or three days. This is because the permissibility of wiping over the splint is due to necessity (dharurah), and necessity is estimated according to its measure. Since the necessity demands that the splint be removed (which is difficult), the ruling is limited by that necessity and not by external limits.
