Primary text

Touching any part of the body other than the private parts (al-farjayn), such as the armpit, scrotum, or armpit area, does not invalidate ablution according to the opinion of the general body of scholars. There is no explicit text (nass) commanding invalidation for such an act, nor does it fall under the meaning of what is explicitly mentioned, so the ruling is not established. Furthermore, the one whose body part is touched does not lose their ablution, as the obligation for ablution stems from divine legislation, and the Sunnah mentioned relates only to the toucher (al-lams).

Supporting text

It is narrated from 'Urwah that whoever touches his testicles must perform ablution. Al-Zuhri preferred that one should perform ablution. 'Ikrimah stated that whoever touches what is between the two private parts must perform ablution.
