Primary text
Shooting contests are divided into three types. The first type is Al-Mubadara (preemption), where contestants agree that the first to achieve five hits out of twenty throws is the winner, provided they are equal in their throwing rhythm. If one reaches five hits while the other has four or less after equal throws, the one with five hits is the winner, and completing the twenty throws is unnecessary. If both achieve five hits out of ten throws each, there is no winner, and the contest ends without completing the throws. If one hits five out of ten throws and the other hits four out of nine throws, the ruling is suspended until the tenth throw for the second contestant; if they miss, the first wins. If the second contestant only hit three out of nine, the first is the winner immediately, as the maximum potential success for the second would still leave them behind.
