What is the recommended quality for the sacrificial animal (Udhiyah)?

It is recommended to seek out the best, largest, and most handsome animal for the sacrifice. This is supported by the verse stating that exalting the rituals of Allah stems from the piety of the hearts (Quran 22:32). Ibn Abbas interpreted exalting these rituals as seeking the best, largest, and most handsome sacrificial animal. Seeking the best animal increases the reward and maximizes the benefit of the sacrifice.
