Does the change in the state of milk affect the permissibility of its sale?
Chapter on Riba (Usury) and Exchange (Sarf)
Al-Mughni
Book of Sales
Primary text
No distinction is made regarding permissibility whether the milks being exchanged are fresh (halib) or sour (hamid), or if one is fresh and the other sour. The alteration of quality does not invalidate the permissibility of the sale, similar to variations in quality between excellent and poor goods.
