Does changing the name of a prohibited substance or act remove the religious prohibition?

Changing the name of a prohibited item does not remove the underlying religious prohibition. God prohibited these matters due to the corruption and harm they cause, and this corruption does not cease merely by presenting the act in a different form while retaining its substance. Therefore, the prohibition remains. This is analogous to renaming wine; doing so does not permit its consumption. The Prophet, peace be upon him, stated that a group from his Ummah would permit wine, calling it by other than its name.
