Possession for goods sold in bulk is established by their removal or transfer from the location of the sale. Evidence for this is found in the practice during the era of the Prophet, peace be upon him, when trading food in bulk, they were commanded not to sell it until it was moved from its original place. Ibn Umar narrated that they were ordered to move the food they purchased in bulk to another location before reselling it. Muslim narrated these traditions.
