If a debtor owes ten dirhams and the creditor accepts a single dinar from him, telling him to take his due right from it, and the creditor takes the remaining amount after two days, is this valid?

This transaction is valid. If the debtor delivers an asset (the dinar) against the debt (dirhams) and authorizes the creditor to take his due right from it, and the creditor takes the remaining portion after two days, the transaction is permissible.
