Primary text

Whoever sets a net, snare, trap, or similar device and catches game owns that game because the device acts as an extension of their possession (hand). Likewise, if hooks are set for hunting and game is killed by them after naming (i.e., intent/blessing), the game is lawful to eat and is treated as if it were slaughtered.
