Primary text
It is permissible to return the share belonging to only one seller and keep the share of the other. This is permissible because the buyer is returning to the seller what that seller sold, and returning only a portion does not result in the subdivision (Tashqīṣ) of an indivisible item, as the item subject to sale was already divisible (mushqaṣ) before the sale took place.
