What is the legal consequence if only a portion of the delivered currency is found to belong to another party?

If some portion of the currency is found to belong to another party, the contract is nullified regarding that portion. Regarding the remainder, there are two legal opinions, based on the principles concerning the division of a single transaction (*tafriq al-safqa*).
