Primary text

This statement constitutes a valid bequest (Wasiyyah) because the absolution is suspended upon the death of the testator (the creditor himself), and bequests are permissible.

Supporting text

If the creditor says, 'If you die, you are absolved,' this is invalid because it is a discharge contingent upon a condition (the death of the debtor), and suspending a discharge upon conditions is invalid.
