The measurement of goods sold under forward contract (*al-Mazru'*) must be determined by accurate measurement, without any known disagreement on this point. Ibn al-Mundhir stated that there is a consensus among all scholars whose opinions we are aware of that *al-Salam* (forward sale) is permissible for textiles (*al-Thiyab*) provided the measure is known.
