Does offering the item for sale or entering into a flawed sale void the buyer's option?
Chapter on the Option of the Two Parties in Sale

Primary text
Voiding the option occurs if the buyer offers the item for sale, sells it in a flawed sale, offers it as collateral (*rahn*), or any other disposition, even if the recipient of a gift does not accept it, because such acts indicate consent to the sale. Imam Ahmad stated that if the buyer stipulates an option and then sells the item for a profit before the option period ends, the profit belongs to the buyer because the obligation to pay the profit attached upon offering it for sale.
