Delivery of goods sold by measure must be taken by measure, and goods sold by weight must be taken by weight. Taking delivery by arbitrary estimation (*juzāfan*) or by a different unit of measure or weight is invalid. If such an improper delivery occurs, the amount is to be estimated according to what was stipulated in the contract, the recipient takes their due share, the excess is returned, and compensation is claimed for the difference. Regarding whether the recipient can dispose of their share before it is formally measured or weighed, there are two views previously discussed in the rulings on spot sales. If there is a dispute concerning the quantity delivered, the statement of the person taking delivery (the recipient) is accepted upon taking an oath.
