Is the purchaser obligated to water fruit remaining on the tree when the tree itself is sold?
Chapter on Selling Assets and Fruits

Book of Sales
Primary text
The purchaser is not obligated to water the fruit if the original tree (the root/origin) is sold while the fruit still belongs to the vendor. This is because the purchaser does not have an obligation to deliver the fruit, as they have not yet acquired ownership of the fruit from their side; the vendor's ownership remains over the fruit.
