Primary text

Fresh fruit (Rutab) is treated like dried dates concerning these specifications, except for the descriptors of 'recent' (Hadīth) and 'old' (Atīq). Only fresh fruit that has fully ripened ('Artab') may be taken. Fresh fruit that is crushed ('Mushaddakh') or fruit that is old and close to becoming dried dates must be excluded. This principle applies similarly to grapes and other fruits.
