What is the ruling if the buyer purchases wool on condition of immediate shearing but delays shearing until the wool grows long?

If a person purchases wool contingent upon its immediate cutting, but then leaves it until it grows long, the ruling governing this situation is the same as the ruling for a purchaser of wet dates (rutab) who leaves them until they ripen further.
