Primary text
If the buyer refuses to slaughter the animal, he is not compelled to do so, but he is obligated to pay the estimated value of the excluded parts. This ruling is established based on the decree of Ali, may Allah be pleased with him, regarding a man who bought a she-camel while stipulating the exclusion of its offspring (*thuniyaha*). Ali commanded that the buyer be given the calculated value of the offspring from the total price upon reaching the highest market value for the she-camel.
