What is the ruling on killing animals that cause harm to people?

By analogy with the vicious dog, it is permissible to kill anything that harms people or damages their property, as it causes injury without benefit, resembling a wolf. Conversely, that which causes no harm is not permissible to kill, based on previous evidence.
