What is the ruling on other contracts (besides sale) that combine lawful and unlawful subjects in a single transaction?

The ruling for pledges (rahn), gifts (hibah), and other contracts that combine what is permissible and what is impermissible is generally similar to the ruling on sales. However, the apparent ruling for these non-commutative contracts is validity because the ambiguity of exchange value, which invalidates sales, is not present in them.
