What is the ruling regarding the borrower taking a loan (Istiqrad)?

Borrowing is permissible (Mubah) for the borrower. This is supported by the aforementioned traditions. Since lending is recommended due to the relief it provides, borrowing is inherently permissible. It is not considered obligatory.
