If the land belongs to the acknowledging party, there are two differing views on the validity of the settlement concerning the crop: one view holds that it is valid, and the other holds that it is invalid. This depends on the differing scholarly opinions regarding buying an unripe crop (*zar' akhḍar*) situated on land owned by the buyer.
