Primary text
If a buyer contracts for a dyed garment, it is permissible if the dyeing process occurs while the yarn is still in the thread form, as this is considered an inherent quality of the fabric. However, if the dyeing happens after the weaving process, the contract is invalid because dyeing the finished fabric obscures the assessment of its softness and roughness, and the resulting color (dye) is an unspecified element.
