Primary text

If the stipulation involves riding the camel to a nearby location, it is permissible. This ruling is established by the action of the Prophet (peace be upon him) selling a camel and stipulating its use to travel to Medina, as narrated by Jabir. The permissibility stems from the clarity of the destination and the nature of the transaction being minor enough to allow for leniency.

Malik stated that if the stipulation is for transport to a distant location, it is disliked (*yukrah*), as leniency (*musamaha*) is granted for minor matters, implying that excessive inconvenience warrants dislike.
