A sale involving 'Mulamasa' is invalid. Mulamasa is defined as selling an item without the buyer seeing it, under the condition that the sale is concluded merely upon the buyer touching it. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, prohibited Mulamasa, as recorded in a universally agreed-upon narration (Muttafaq 'alayh). Abu Hurayrah narrated in Sahih Muslim that this involves each party touching the other's garment without careful inspection.
