Primary text
The sale is invalid when the price is specified with an exception of a known quantity of currency or a known measure of grain, such as 'except for one dirham' or 'except for one sa' of wheat or barley'. This invalidity occurs because the intent was to exclude a part of the specified total price, rendering the actual price indeterminate (majhul).
