Primary text

If a landowner prepares their land for salt production—either by channeling water from the sea onto coastal land or by directing rainwater into a depression on saline land—and salt is produced, the landowner owns the salt because the land was prepared for it, similar to a pool prepared for fishing. If the land was not prepared for this purpose, the owner does not own the resulting salt.
