Primary text

If the market price increases (ghala), the seller is not obliged to disclose this increase because it is an increase in value. If the market price decreases (rakhasat), Ahmad stated that the seller is not obliged to disclose this either, as the statement of the original cost price remains truthful without disclosure.

Supporting text

There is a potential view that the seller must disclose a decrease in market price, as concealing this might constitute deception (taghrir) if the buyer, knowing the lower market price, would not have agreed to the original price.
