Primary text

If the discerning minor transacts without the permission of his guardian, his transaction is invalid. However, there is a possibility that the transaction may be valid, contingent upon the subsequent ratification (ijāzah) of the guardian. This is the opinion attributed to Abu Hanifa, and it is based on the ruling regarding one who transacts in the property of another without their permission.
