Validity of a sale when the seller falsely claims a prior bid amount and the buyer confirms it.
Chapter on Selling the Musarrah (Animal with milk retained in udder)

Book of Sales
Primary text
When a seller states, 'I was offered such and such for this commodity,' and the buyer confirms this statement, purchasing the item based on that premise, and subsequently the seller is found to be lying, the sale remains valid. This transaction grants the buyer the option to rescind (Khair) because the situation is considered analogous to *Najsh* (fraudulent overbidding or artificial inflation of price).
