Can wood be re-placed on a wall if the original justification for placement ceases to exist?

If the cause permitting the placement ceases, such as when placing the wood on the wall is feared to cause the wall to fall, or if the need for placing it there is no longer present, re-placement is not permitted due to the removal of the authorizing cause.
